About the Authors
Angus is an award-winning translator. Having lived in Japan for years, he knows what a fascinating, yet confusing, place it can be. He hopes the book will help rugby fans make the most of the world cup. His translation work includes fiction set in and around some of the world cup venues. See Other Reading under Bits and Pieces.
Etsuko is a native of Shikoku and a graduate of Waseda, one of Japan’s leading rugby-playing universities. A highly experienced Japanese teacher, her message to rugby fans is: ‘The people you meet in Japan will be very happy if you try to speak some Japanese! Gamba’re!’
